Pamela Styles
Pam Styles is principal and founder of Next Level Investor Relations LLC. She is a senior Investor Relations and Corporate Communications practitioner, with a background in finance and strategy. In addition to traditional Investor Relations and Corporate Communications consulting, she consults and writes on the dynamic sustainability field, exclusively from a corporate perspective.
With more than 30 years of business experience, Pam has been instrumental in the development of multiple investor relations functions, including mergers, pre- and post-IPO, and internal communications strategy over the years. She has managed company investor relations communications through various stages, both offensive and defensive, and through crises communications situations including: mergers and acquisitions, proxy fights, tobacco and asbestos -related liability, settlement and government actions, and potentially catastrophic product failures. She is currently a leading counselor to companies on competitive positioning, benchmarking, communications growth and strategic positioning for sustainability-related communications. Pam has extensive experience in diverse industries, including: general industrials; manufacturing and chemicals; leasing and insurance; lodging and leisure; aerospace and defense; telecommunications and electronics; food and tobacco.
Previously, Pam was head of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications, and member of the executive team, at Crane Co. (NYSE: CR), an aerospace, electronics and industrial manufacturing supplier. She also served as Director of Investor Relations for Starwood Hotels & Resorts (NYSE: HOT) and RJR Nabisco (NYSE: RN), where she facilitated establishment of post-merger (Starwood/ITT) and post-IPO (Nabisco – NYSE: NA) investor relations department functions and initial analyst coverage. She also worked for Continental Bank and FMC Corporation in positions, including audit, operational finance, capital investment analysis, financial and strategic planning.
She is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (“NIRI”) and longtime member of the NIRI Senior Roundtable, with extensive service on local chapter boards and steering committees. She is also a Fellow with the Governance and Accountability Institute.
Pam holds an MBA in finance and strategy from the University of Chicago and a BMA from the University of Michigan in music performance and business.
